Why Paractise Different Types Of Meditation?
Why practice different types of meditation? Putting all these techniques together helps you to put a guard on your mind. We lock our houses when we go out, but we do not do the same for our mind. It is good to have an open mind, but also to have a guard at the gate of your mind to distinguish which thought or emotion is in your best interest.
This time of great awakening on the planet, we are seeing people realising what we are, where we have been, and how we can raise up our vibration and reach our full potential. Each one of us is unique and different, and therefore we need to experience different types of meditation to help us reach the more advanced types of meditation we can use to enhance our lives for the better. If I were to use me as an example, there is no way I could practice silent meditation at first.
This took time and effort with the other forms of meditation. In fact, what made me realise the power of meditation was just focusing on my breath. This, in itself, seemed too simple for me and too easy. But when my instructor said just focus on your breath, that statement did not sink in at first. I must admit, I was a little arrogant, and probably ego driven.
I then started listening to the instructor as I had built that trust and relationship, and then came to the realisation I could not focus on my breath for not very long at all before my mind started wandering. I have put all the meditation techniques I have learnt in the Dream Method, which is a comprehensive mentoring programme for self realisation. Furthermore, I now practise many of these techniques still today.
There Are So Many Ways To Meditate
The combination of all the meditation types I was practising helped me get to the place I am now. I seem to be able to change my thought process relatively easily, avoid stress and anxiety, and also realise when I start to feel depressed. This helps me to refocus my energy and attention into something more positive. Sometimes I will let myself go a little flat at times, as we all need downtime.
I no longer think of this as depression, but as compression. Sometimes we need to squeeze down to come back up bigger, better and brighter. I see that now, and also, I see that in the past I used to be stuck with the label of depression, as I thought this energy was me.
When we realise that we can change our state at will by using our mind, we change for the better. That is what I want for everyone right now at this very special time in human history. We are going through an enormous change, and we need to raise our vibrations to meet that change with an open heart and mind, which are connected in a profound way.
This is why I get up out of bed in the morning to not only change the world around me, but to help other people change around them, to help other people change the world around them. If we all start paying it forward, as it were, then think about the time when you meet someone who has received the vibration you have started.
It is not really an ego recognition, but a feeling of satisfaction that you are making the world a better place. And I am sure that is something we all want deep down inside.
