Guided Meditation – Why Is This Important?

Guided meditation – Why is this important? Sometimes it is easier when you let someone take control of your thoughts and awareness. It is always a treat for someone else to drive you around in your car occasionally and guided meditation is much like the same experience.

Once you have become more aware of your body through the other three types of meditation, you can allow yourself to be guided in a meditation, to really get the full effect of your mind. We seem to be living in a society that allows outside influences to dominate how we think and act.

Trust Is Important With Guided Meditation

That is why it is important to trust the instructor who is guiding you. Words are powerful. And some would go as far as to call them spells. So it is important to be with a trustworthy instructor when it comes to guided meditation.

Also, with guided meditation, it is important to use your imagination like you are a child again. We tend to stop using our imagination so much when we get older. Can you remember the fun you used to have when you used your imagination as a child? I can remember when I used to take my matchbox cars into an empty room and entertain myself for hours. I did this with just a few cars.

That was a deep form of meditation for me, as I realise now. There was nothing in the way of me focusing on that moment with the cars and myself, and I could create anything I wanted in those moments.

Use Your Imagination Like A Child

What if I were to tell you that your imagination can be used to heal your body. There has been some very compelling research put into this very fact. Also, when you consider the placebo effect that can be created by your mind, this becomes a very powerful healing modality. When we focus our minds using our imagination, guided meditation takes on a whole new dimension.
